What shipping methods are available?
Since we would like you to have your coffee order quickly, but not force you to pay too much shipping, or complicate the decision process with a dozen different options, North Star Fine Coffees has chosen the U.S. Postal Service for all coffee order deliveries. We ship Priority Mail which ensures delivery 6 days each week. Average delivery time from shipment date is 1 to 3 days anywhere within the continental United States. Priority Mail provides a good balance between shipping costs and shipping time.
How much does shipping cost?
We would like you to enjoy the complex flavors of our premium coffee, not get confused by complex shipping costs. Therefore we’re trying to keep costs as low as possible, and we have settled on a very easy cost calculation for shipping and handling. Simply put, we charge $2.95 per order plus $2.50 per pack of coffee, regardless of order size. Therefore while shipping costs rise as you add more coffee, which increases the size and weight of the order, the average cost per package actually drops as your order gets larger. So order more at once and you’ll come out ahead in the long run!
How soon will my order be shipped?
We’re not like most coffee companies. Our coffees are hand crafted. To ensure the highest possible quality, we do not keep bags of coffee on a shelf or in a warehouse where the flavors can get lost over time. We roast upon order, specifically for your order! We are much more interested in producing the finest quality coffees in the world than we are in being the fastest to ship.
That said, we strive to get your order turned around as fast as possible, usually within a couple days. The speed depends somewhat on what you have ordered and how that lines up with other orders in the system. It can make a difference if your order is the first in the queue or has arrived right before we begin roasting a particular blend. But either way your coffee is freshly roasted within days, then packed, and shipped directly to you, arriving at the peak of perfection.
