Steven Clark's review of Seattle Reign Seattle Reign is a blend of large and small Central American beans along with peaberries. In the grinder the aroma was excellent. The colour was Brown Amber in a white porcelain cup. Sipping the Auto-drip, the most marked characteristics are Aroma starting with citrusy tones. As the cup cools, the aroma intensifies; and there is a hidden sweetness that makes itself known. When sugar and half&half are added the aroma persists, but it loses some of its body to the half and half. When brewed with a french press, some earthy qualities emerge. The citrus tones intensify to an almost peppery note. The aroma explodes nicely on the pallet as the cup is slurped. The Body holds up better to sugar and half & half. Sugar compliments the aroma well. Doing a french press of this coffee is definitely a WOW experience. Pulling a shot with this coffee reveals excellent crema. The aroma comes alive as the shot is slurped. It has a good earthiness to it and an almost caramel sweetness at the bottom of the shot. Slurping produces that wonderful explosion of taste that tickled both my soft and hard pallet. Pulling a shot with this coffee gave me the best of both Auto drip and press-pot. This was a superior coffee experience all the way around. KUDOS!   Reviews Bryn Kirk says... Wow, Seattle Reign may be the best cup of coffee I have ever had! It is very smooth, not at all bitter. The flavor is very rich and deep. I taste spice and cocoa notes along with a hint of walnut. What a great way to wake up on the first day of 2010, starting off the new year right! I can imagine pairing this coffee with a nice piece of chocolate chip banana bread. My mouth is watering with the thought.
